About You :

I am a professional musician based in Calcutta, India. I have been composing,arranging,playing music for the last eight years, my instrument of choice being the guitar and the bass guitar. Several gigs,tours and collaborations with eminent names in the music fraternity have given me a lot of musical as well as other essential information a musician should possess.I have been teaching this for the past five years to make people more aware of the beauty and subtlety of music.

My area of expertise is Modern Jazz, Funk Rock ,Indian Classical music and their respective fusion.Playing any form of classical music on the bass guitar is a challenge, but it is extremely rewarding to get it right. I would be glad to pass on the teachings and help out starting/intermediate/advanced students to reach their objectives and most importantly to learn and love music.

I have performed in several jazz festivals such as Java Jazz Festival,Congo Square Jazz Festival to name a few.I have played in countries like Dubai, Uk etc.

The best teacher one can have is himself or herself.I am here to guide you through that process.

I have been playing with eminent musicians such as Sumith Ramachandran, Monojit Dutta, Amyt Dutta, Amit Chatterjee etc. I have played with bands like Los Amigos in the Java Jazz Festival, Congo Square Jazz Festival, All India Music Conference in Goa etc. I have also worked with rock bands such as Cassinis Divison, Bollywood singers such as Shaan, Shreya Ghosal etc. My collaborations with Indian Classical musicians include working with Rishabh Dhar in his ensemble Fingerprints which has played all over Europe, USA etc.
