Jimi Hendrix:

James Marshall "JimiHendrix was considered to be the most influential American rock guitarist, singer and songwriter in the history of popular music. He is also known as the ‘Father of Rock’.

Born in 1942, in Seattle, Washington, Hendrix started playing guitar at age of 15. In 1960s became the rock legend by his innovative electric guitar playing. In 1969, He performed "The Star Spangled Banner” at Woodstock, which turned out to be one of his most memorable performances in his music career.

In 1958, Hendrix had his acoustic guitar. He taught himself to play guitar by getting the tips from the experienced guitarists and also by watching them play. His influences were the artists like B.B. King, Muddy Waters and such, which were mostly into blues and jazz.

He always had maple neck black 1968 Stratocaster as his signature guitar. But later he started using different guitars, like Gibson Flying Vs and Les Paul Customs.

In 1961, he was also at the service of U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. But since he had an ankle injury while he was doing a parachute jump, he was given an honorable discharge from the service. 

Hendrix died at the very tender age of 27, on September 18, 1970 in London due to overdose of barbiturates. Which made him to get a space in the ‘27 Years Club’.       

Hendrix is also praised as “arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music” by The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and also considered as one of the most celebrated musicians from the 20th century.


Joe Satriani - an American Famous & Favorite Guitarist

Joseph Satriani is an American guitarist and a multi-instrumentalist, who is primarily into Instrumental rock since he is a solo artist. He also plays on genres like Hard Rock and Blues Rock. Before his fame, he worked as a guitar instructor having many famous guitarists such as Steve Vai, Rick Hunolt from the thrash metal band Exodus, Kirk Hammett from Metallica, Larry LaLonde of the progressive rock band Primus, Andy Timmons, Charlie hunter, Alex Skolnick and Kevin Cadogan.

He was born on July 15, 1956, in Westbury New York. He was inspired by Jimi Hendrix and started playing guitar by the age 14.

Satriani worked and toured with the artists like Mick Jagger, Deep Purple, Ritchie Blackmore and the super group Chickenfoot. He also performed with number of other amazing guitarists during the G3 Tour.

He has been an all-time biggest selling instrumental rock guitarist and also been a Grammy Award nominee for 15 times.


B.B. King:

B.B. King was a profound blues guitarist, singer, songwriter and a record producer. He is well known for his very unique and sophisticated style of playing the guitar that influenced many musicians later.

He was born on September 16, 1925. At Itta Bena, Mississippi, U.S. King started to play guitar at the age of 12. He primarily worked on the genres like Blues, Blues Rock and R&B since his younger age.

He is honored as “One of the three kings of the blues” along with Albert and Freddie king. He is known for appearing more than 200 concerts during his 70s. And also done 342 shows tirelessly just in the year of 1956.

B.B. King died on May 14, 2015 at the age of the 89 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

King primarily preferred playing Gibson semi-hollow body ES-355, and he called his collection of every Gibson guitar as Lucille.


Steve Vai: 

Steven Siro Vai is highly known for his individualistic instrumental rock guitarist, composer, singer, songwriter and record producer. He was also voted by as the world’s “10th Greatest guitarist”.

He won Grammy Award for three times and had gotten nominated for 15 times.

He started his music career at the age of 18 by working with Frank Zappa and was a part of his band from 1980-1983. Later he had started performing solo in 1983. He has also worked and performed with Whitesnake, Alcatrazz, Mary J Blige, Spinal Tap, David Lee Roth and Ozzy Osbourne.

One of album’s ‘Passion and Warfare’ was praised as ‘the richest and best hard rock guitar-virtuoso album of the 80s. And also sold over 15 million records till date.


Jimmy Page- an English Guitarist of all time 

James Patrick page aka Jimmy page (Stage Name), is an English guitarist, who is quite famous for being the founder and the lead guitarist of the most influential rock band Led Zeppelin. He had also been the song writer for his band and also produced records in his music career.

Page was born on 9th January, 1944, In Heston, Middlesex, England, He took his guitar at the age of 13. He was inspired by Elvis Presley. By the year of 1960s page started his career as a studio session musician in London. Jimmy founded Led Zeppelin 1968.

He was ranked number two in Gibson's list of "Top 50 Guitarists of All Time" and, in 2007, number four on Classic Rock's "100 Wildest Guitar Heroes". He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice; once as a member of the Yardbirds and once as a member of Led Zeppelin.
